Putting Pride into Practice Project (P4)
The Putting Pride into Practice Project is designed to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) children, youth, and families involved with California’s child welfare system. Family Builders is working in collaboration with the California Department of Social Services and the State Advisory Committee on LGBT Children, Youth and Families in the Child Welfare System. The long-term goal of the project, which began on July 1, 2010 through a generous 3-year private grant, is to improve the care and outcomes for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) children, youth and families involved in foster care in California.
