Frommer’s Travel Guides will be bringing a bit of New York to the Jardinière bar tonight when the guys from Frommer’s Travel Guides guest bartend and serve dueling Manhattans. That’s right, as they fundraise for Family Builders (www.familybuilders.org) they will compete with each other on who makes the best Manhattan and who raises the most money for their charity.

David Lytle will be serving up the rye-based The Rytle and newly relocated SF resident Stephen Bassman will be serving the bourbon-based Manhattan Transfer. These Manhattans will sell for $9.00 each with all proceeds going to Family Builders, a Bay Area organization that works to place foster children in permanent loving homes.There will also be a special pastrami slider to pair with the drinks, which will also sell for $9.00
