This site is owned and operated exclusively by Family Builders By Adoption, a non-profit licensed agency operating within California. Family Builders is committed to protecting your privacy. As a result we have put this page together in order to communicate to you exactly how and why we collect personal information from this website and what it is used for. What information does Family Builders collect?
Family Builders collects the following information from this website:
- When you fill out a request form on our web site or call our offices, we will ask for information such as your name, address, business, phone number and e-mail address.
- We also provide you with the ability to leave specific messages when using our website.
- If you are making a donation, we will ask for your contact information including billing information, credit card
information and how you would like to use your donation. Our website has a number of security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of the information under our control. Our computer systems have restricted access limited only to those persons and organizations necessary to the proper functioning of Edgewood.org. This access applies to all electronic and physical security measures. Highly sensitive data, including credit card information, is additionally secured through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
How is the information used?
We use information from our website visitors to help us assess your situation so we may offer better services or to provide you with information packets, newsletters, or other materials. We also use your information to appropriately process your requested online donations.
Is the information shared?
Family Builders keeps all client and donor information completely CONFIDENTIAL. Your information will only be shared with members of our staff or in order to assist you better. Family Builders does not share your information with any third parties except for the following: From time to time we may engage or employ contractors to perform functions on our behalf. Such parties will have access to only that personal information required by them to perform their functions and may not use such information for any other purposes - they are bound by Family Builders' Privacy Policy.

Family Builders tracks the movement of our visitors through our site through such vehicles as HootSuite and Google Analytics. Information that is tracked includes:

- Reports based on amount of time spent viewing specific sections/pages of the site
